Despite looking after the weddings of the actual season takes a lot of time and energies, we always like to dedicate some days to venue scouting, to constantly renew the possibility of choice and enlarge the offer of potential locations where having a memorable wedding day.
Today we met the owners of an enchanted Masseria, the traditional Apulian farmhouse, once the property of the aristocrat families of Puglia. These farmhouses were built like fortified properties, made of several buildings organized around a courtyard, often including trulli (typical Apulian cone roof houses). Many of these houses have been carefully restored and transformed into five star hotels and impressive elegant manors. The whitewashed walls create a strong contrast with the blue sky, the house is surrounded by olive groves or Mediterranean bushes. Masserias are fabulous venues for a wedding in Puglia: most of them allow to have wedding ceremony and wedding reception on the same place, and can accommodate your guests for a true family celebration. Just imagine your ceremony outdoors under the bluest sky or in an intimate frescoed chapel, followed by a wedding cocktail with locally grown wine and an al fresco dinner among the olive trees with the delicious Apulian cuisine.
This enchanting Masseria, only twenty minutes’ drive from the Mediterranean, can host intimate or large wedding parties for up to 150 people. Events are allowed when the Masseria is taken exclusively for a minimum of 2 nights.
To enter from the main door, you have to cross an amazing vineyard! A big pool is available for guests. Reception can take place in any area of the estate, but one of the most beautiful is surely the big veggie garden full of fresh products daily picked up from the chef to be transformed into tasty dishes!
We were impressed by the courtesy of the staff and the great care of details, original furnishing from the beginning of XIX century enriched by all the comforts that a modern hotel can offer.
If you wish to stay here with your core parties, the Masseria can accommodate up to 14 guests in exquisitely furnished trulli houses. Of course, there are many nice possibilities to accommodate the exceeding guests in hotels or apartments nearby.
